Satellite trace/track/connect with open source / free software tools
A guided tour through the collective imaginary of the space.
We will design, build, and use home made antennas to hear and use satelite signals, and use the data to represent and visualize a new discourse.
We will hear the space, very low frecuency (VLF) signals with home made devices, catch satellite signals, weather pulses, pulsars, and brazilian satelite pirats conversations for all arround the globe on real time.
Only open/free software/hardware tools will be used during the workshop, we will work on Ubuntu or Debian OS distributions.
Please bring a laptop with any Linux distro preinstalled / if not ubuntu live cds will be available
18.-21.00 Uhr – install, setup, night tracking with strong stars laser, self made antenas and data mapping/visualization & dinner
